On 12/1 there will be a wonderful (private) 50th anniversary reunion dinner here in NYC with Broadway's original and replacement cast members attending from all over the USA.

Then on 12/2 everyone will rehearse for their appearance at this year's Gypsy of the Year competition which will be held on 12/3 and 12/4 at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 W. 52nd St.)

I understand from Broadway Cares that the two performances have been pushed back a couple of weeks.

They're now slated to take place 12/17 and 12/18. See you there!

The WSS reunion dinner has also been pushed back...which is causing a bit of furor over at Broadway Cares because in addition to having to arrange for new flight and hotel reservations for the out-of-town WSS originals, the new dates fall during Channukah and are also closer to Christmas which may [regretfully] force some WSS alumni to cancel.

Also, should the current stagehands strike (which has shut down 27 of our Broadway theatres) still not be settled by 12/17, the GYPSY OF THE YEAR venue will be moved to the New Amsterdam Theatre (one of the few Broadway theatres not affected by the strike).
